Marcell Solomon
Born and raised in the vibrant streets of Compton, CA, I cultivated my passion for hip-hop during the influential 90s era. My journey through the hip-hop scene fueled a deep understanding of the industry's challenges, particularly the vulnerability faced by songwriters and artists. Motivated by the voices of the artists I admired, I started Protect The Creatives Foundation, driven by the vision to establish a board that advocates for and represents the unique needs of hip-hop artists. Through my background in entrepreneurship and extensive experience in event management, I aim to bring a fresh perspective to the music industry, ensuring artists' well-being and the preservation of artistic integrity.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Business Entrepreneurship, coupled with a Graduate Certification in New Venture Management from The University of Nevada Las Vegas. With a keen interest in events, I've dedicated over 16 years to event production and served as a charismatic Nightlife VIP Host in Las Vegas for 8 years. I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of Live Events and Entertainment which, ultimately, led me to pursue my Masters in Music Business and Live Entertainment Management from The Frost School of Music at The University of Miami. This Masters' program has now equipped me with the knowledge and tools to create a positive impact within the music industry.
